Directors Shawn Levy and Ryan Gosling Announce "Star Wars: Starfighters" at Tokyo's Star Wars Celebration

 

Directors Shawn Levy (of Deadpool & Wolverine) and Ryan Gosling recently made an appearance at the Star Wars Celebration event in Tokyo, Japan, and officially announced their upcoming collaborative film, Star Wars: Starfighters.

The film is set five years after Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. It will go into production this autumn and is scheduled to be released in the United States on May 28, 2027.

 

Levy stated, "There have been a lot of rumors out there, some true and some false. … This film is neither a prequel nor a sequel. It's an entirely new adventure."
